Rocking K Mares

Okies Jet Gambler

1988 Bay AQHA mare.
"Tulsa" is the cornerstone of the Rocking K Speed Horses breeding
program. This old mare has been with me a very long time and has a special place
in my pasture .. and my heart. This Jet A Van daughter isn't much to look at
herself but she puts perfection on every foal she gives us.
She is Dam of the 2005 Colt "Chopper" by Miracleonfourteenth,
Rocking K's brightest up and coming star. The sorrel filly pictured above was
her '00 foal out of a Skipper W bred stallion. "Saucy" is now a member of
Rocking K's broodmare band. Tulsa is open for 2007 and will be bred to
Miracleonfourteenth for an early 2008 foal.

Controls Vandy

Vandy and her 2006 Filly by Miracleonfourteenth
(left)
"Vandy" 1994 Buckskin Mare. She is broodmare sound only due to an
injury as a yearling. I believe she also carries the "champagne gene". She has
amber eyes, a frosted mane and her summer coat is almost iridescent in the sun.
Has been a 100% buckskin producer out of 4 foals. Sweet natured and throws tall
well muscled offspring. Is open for 2007 and will be bred to Miracleonfourteenth
for an early 2008 foal.

Barbies Tony Hank

1999 Chestnut AQHA mare.
We recently acquired Barbie from an unfortunate situation. She
was on the kill truck. Literally ON the truck. Some very good people from the
Great Expectations Ranch in Pillager, Minnesota arranged a deal with the driver,
convincing him to take a postdated check to save her life. I bought her from
them shortly after and it was one of the best purchases of my life. She is in
foal for a March 2007 baby to "Sonny's Certificate" a Sonny Dee Bar/Boston Mac
bred black stallion. We are not sure if she is broke to ride but that shouldn't
be much of a problem! She is THE sweetest mare i have ever met. The little
chestnut mare has befriended my daughters and will wait at the gate for hours
for a quick scratch.
She isn't in the best condition yet .. but she is coming a long. She is still in
her winter fuzzies .. and we can't wait to see her slick and shiny! I think she
will blossom into an outstanding little mare .. she just needs the chance to
prove it!
We are patiently waiting to see what kind of baby she builds before we decide if
she will be bred to Miracleonfourteenth. She will most likely be spending her
time under one of my 3 daughters this fall when her baby is weaned.

ROK Chillin the Most

2000 AQHA Sorrel Mare
ROK Chillin the Most is by a heavily Weiscamp bred stallion and a
Jet A Van daughter. Saucy was kicked in the jaw by a playmate as a two year old.
It broke her jaw and the injury/resulting surgery misshaped the structure of her
face/mouth. Due to that she could not be ridden and was put into our broodmare
band. Like many of her lineage Saucy was a slower developer. At 5 she finally
filled out into the mare we knew she could be! In 2006 she gave us our first
second generation Rocking K bred foal, a filly by Miracleonfourteenth who we
call "Coors". Coors is pretty sure she's going to be something and we couldn't
be happier with what Saucy produced on her first try! She is open for 2007 and
will be bred to Miracleonfourteenth for a mid-2008 foal.
